An annual meeting of representatives of users of the airspace of the Republic of Lithuania, the air navigation service providers and the national supervisory authority the Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) took place at the conference hall of the enterprise on 12 November 2015. This year, organisers of the event, SE “Oro navigacija” and CAA, met a notably large number of participants, including the airlines such as AVION EXPRESS, WIZZ AIR, TURKISH AIRLINES, KLAIPĖDOS AVIALINIJOS, and BELAVIA, also representatives of the Lithuanian Air Force, the State Border Guard Service Aviation Unit, the Lithuanian Aero Club, public institutions “Pilots School” and “AP idėjos“, VGTU Antanas Gustaitis Aviation Institute, JSC Baltic Ground Services, Kaunas Aero Club, Gliding and Aerobatic Flying Federations, and the SE Lithuanian Airports.
The CAA’s flight safety supervision specialists, Jurgita Jazdauskienė and Andrejus Golubevas, exchanged information on matters relevant to the airspace users. A presentation on the meteorological services for aviation, latest achievements and future plans was given by Chief Specialist of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service Viktorija Lieguvienė, updates related with the aeronautical information services (AIS) improvement were introduced by Head of AIS Virginijus Steponavičius.
Activities of the enterprise and changes related with the Baltic FAB development were presented by Director Deputy for Strategic Development Vaidotas Kondroška. Director Deputy for Finance and Economics Mindaugas Gustys gave a presentation on the financial forecasts and rates of charges for air navigation services for 2016.
During discussions it was agreed to make collective efforts in looking for optimal solutions in organising general aviation flights in order to make them always safe.
