The Lithuanian Air Navigation Service Provider SE Oro navigacija has become the first company in Lithuania to implement the Anti-Corruption Management System in conformity with the ISO 37001 standard. The enterprise has been officially certified by a company certified to provide services of certification according to the above-mentioned standard.
The certification of the enterprise has been carried out by the Italian company Certification S.r.l. accredited by the Italian National Accreditation Body. The audit covered checking the compliance of documents and processes with the ISO 37001 norms, the measures for financial and non-financial controls under implementation by the enterprise, the procedures for the security clearance of the personnel and qualification improvement, compliance of acquisition processes with the standard, and also analysis of the process of identifying, assessing and reducing corruption risks. The auditors also assessed the enterprise’s preparedness to capture and eliminate inconsistencies with the Anti-Corruption Management System as well as the transparency of its participation in international projects.
“In our day-to-day activities, we pay great attention to promotion of ethical behaviour and ethical business, risk assessment and implementation and improvement of the corruption control mechanisms. We seek to ensure that each employee in the enterprise is responsible for preventing various forms of corruption and increasing resistance to it. We are pleased to note that our efforts have not been in vain, and now we hold a certificate proving the professionalism in implementation of the system”, says Mindaugas Gustys, CEO of SE Oro navigacija.
In order to implement the Anti-Corruption Management System in SE Oro navigacija according to the LST ISO 37001:2017 standard “Anti-Bribery Management Systems. Requirements with Guidance for Use”, the enterprise has underwent changes in internal legislation, public procurement and work organisation; also, a threat prevention specialist has joined the team of Oro navigacija. The above-mentioned system was implemented at the end of August 2018.
