Consultation Meeting with the Users

A consultation meeting with the Lithuanian airspace users took place at a conference hall of the enterprise on 12 October 2011. All Lithuanian airspace users were invited to this traditional meeting to discuss possibilities for closer cooperation between the users and the service providers and to submit the unit rates for air navigation charges for 2012.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the airlines Aurela, LOT Polish Airlines, Small Planet Airlines, Utair, Wizz Air, the Lithuanian Aircraft Owners’ and Pilots’ Association and the Gliding Sport Federation. Among participants of the meeting were officials of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Civil Aviation Administration and the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.
The audience was welcomed by Director General Algimantas Raščius who outlined the major achievements of the enterprise and changes for the coming years in view of implementation of the Single European Sky concept.
A presentation on state supervision of air navigation services was given by Chief Specialist of the Air Navigation Service Section of CAA Romanas Petrovskis, meteorological services to aviation were reviewed by Head of the Aeronautical Meteorology Section of LHMS Dalia Taraškevičienė, and newly-implemented technologies of weather forecasting were introduced by weather forecaster Inga Stankevičiūtė.
Strategic Development Director Deputy Vaidotas Kondroška familiarized the participants with the main activities and latest developments of the enterprise. Greatest attention of the participants was attracted by Senior Economist Mindaugas Gustys’ report on the cost-efficiency indicator for 2012–2014 and the unit rates for 2012. A presentation given by Strategic Development Director Kazimieras Jakas revealed the process of the Baltic FAB implementation and the related perspectives.
