About SE „Oro navigacija“
SE “Oro navigacija” is the sole provider of the air traffic services, the communications, navigation and surveillance services and the aeronautical information services in the airspace of the Republic of Lithuania for the needs of civil aviation in peacetime. Also, the enterprise is involved in organization and coordination of search and rescue operations in the event of an aircraft accident or emergency.
Seminar on Terrain and Obstacle Data
Rugsėjo 28–30 dienomis įmonėje vyko tarptautinis seminaras, skirtas vietovių ir kliūčių vertinimo, matavimo ir duomenų publikavimo sistemos diegimui. Susitikime dalyvavo Lenkijos, Turkijos, Nyderlandų, Ukrainos, Latvijos ir Lietuvos įmonių – oro navigacijos paslaugų teikėjų – specialistai, Lietuvos CAA bei tarptautinių aerodromų atstovai.
Įmonės pasirengimą seminarui gerai įvertino jį pravedę Eurokontrolės pareigūnai, o dalyviai pripažino, kad tai buvo pirmas svarbus žingsnis, siekiant įdiegti vietovių ir kliūčių duomenų bazę.
An international seminar on implementation of the system of the terrain and obstacle data took place at the enterprise on 28-30 September. The seminar was attended by specialists of air navigation service providers of Poland, Turkey, Netherlands, Ukraine, Latvia and Lithuania, representatives of the Lithuanian CAA and international airports.
The seminar was conducted by Eurocontrol officials who noted that the enterprise had made adequate preparations for it. The attendees accepted that it was the first step towards implementation of the terrain and obstacle database.
